Assignment 1 (due after exam)

Ladies and gentlemen,

We will be meeting quite regularly after your End-of-Year exams to teach you about the various fieldwork techniques you need to know before your trip and for your rehearsals. So please be prepared.

1. Think of 2-3 simple songs and games that you can use to teach English to the Burmese children in Thailand as part of CIP. The students know very basic conversational English. You have to use this opportunity there to engage with them.

You may use these websites to help you brainstorm:

http://www.sgbox.com/gollygames.html

2. Also, discuss among yourselves about what you would like to perform for the villagers. It can be in the form of songs, dance etc. About 2 songs. This is part of your cultural exchange with the villagers in Thailand.

You may comment in this post and discuss among yourselves in this space.

Very important to note: please check this site regularly, at least twice a week for updates about the situation in Thailand and other information which you will need to read up on or do for the trip!

Have a fun and nice time exploring the upcoming links that I will put up soon!

Ciao!

Ms Tham
